Add a watermark to an image

Add a watermark to your photos and images right in your browser, free and with no limits. Stamp text (your name, your brand, «© 2026» or «PROOF») or your brand logo over one or many images at once, with the color, opacity, size, tilt and position you want: repeated in a diagonal tile to protect the photo, centered or in a corner to sign it. It is perfect for protecting your photos before posting them on social media or shops, marking the proofs you send to a client, or putting your brand on a catalog. Unlike other sites, we do not add any watermark of our own, there is no limit on the number of images or their size, and your photos are never uploaded to any server: everything happens on your device, with no sign-up.

How to add a watermark to a photo

  1. Drag in your photos or click to choose them (nothing is uploaded: they open in your browser).
  2. Choose the watermark type: text or your logo/image.
  3. Adjust the color, opacity, size, tilt and position; you will see it in the preview.
  4. Click «Apply watermark»: all images are processed at once.
  5. Download each watermarked photo, or all of them together in a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded to any server?

No. The watermark is applied entirely in your browser; your images never leave your device and the tool works offline once loaded. It is safe even with private photos or confidential client proofs.

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. Switch the type to «Image» and upload your logo (transparent PNG, JPG or WebP). You can adjust its size, opacity and tilt, and tile it or place it in a corner. A PNG with a transparent background looks best over the photo.

Can I watermark many photos at once?

Yes. Drag in several images: the same settings are applied to all of them at once, and you can download them separately or all together in a ZIP. There is no limit on the number of photos or their size, because the processing runs on your own device.

Does it work with text in Chinese, Japanese, Arabic or other alphabets?

Yes. Since the watermark is drawn onto the image using your system fonts, it supports any alphabet: Latin, Cyrillic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, etc. (This is an advantage over the PDF watermark, where the text is limited to the Latin alphabet.) If a character does not show, try using an image watermark instead.

Does a watermark stop people from copying my photo?

It is a visual deterrent, not a technical lock. A diagonal tiled watermark, with enough size and opacity, makes it much harder to reuse the image unnoticed, but it does not prevent downloading. For maximum protection, use a visible watermark that crosses the important areas of the photo.

What format and quality will the watermarked image have?

By default the original format is kept (PNG, JPG or WebP). You can force the output to PNG (keeps transparency), JPEG or WebP; the quality control applies to JPEG and WebP. The dimensions of the photo do not change: the resolution is the same as the original.

Can I remove a watermark from a photo?

This tool adds watermarks, it does not remove them. Taking a watermark embedded in an image that is not yours is not a reliable operation (and it usually signals authorship or rights that are worth respecting).

Is it free? Any limits or hidden watermarks?

It is completely free, with no sign-up and no usage limits. The only watermark is yours: we do not add one of our own and we do not reduce the resolution. Unlike many sites that stamp their mark on the free plan, cap the number of photos or the size and upload your image to their server, here there are no caps and nothing is uploaded.
