Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to any server?
No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser with JavaScript (Mozilla's pdf.js library). Your document never leaves your device, which is ideal for sensitive files.
What's the difference between JPG and PNG?
JPG produces lighter files, ideal for pages with photos or lots of colors. PNG is lossless and keeps crisp edges and text sharp, ideal for documents and screenshots. Choose based on what you'll do with the images.
Which resolution should I choose?
The higher the resolution, the sharper the image and the larger the file. “Normal” is fine for previewing, “High” is a good balance for most uses, and “Maximum” is best if you plan to print or zoom in.
Can I download all the pages at once?
Yes. Besides downloading each page separately, the “Download all (.zip)” button bundles every image into a single ZIP file that is built right in your browser.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
No. If the PDF is encrypted with a password, the tool detects it and warns you, because its content can't be read without the key. Remove the protection first.
Is there a page limit?
For browser performance, up to 200 pages per file are processed. For larger documents, split them first with the “Split PDF” tool.
